FAQ

Parties are always FREE and held at 7:30 on the second Tuesday of every month

RULE #1: Our Guest Speakers are NOT allowed to sell… you will NOT be pitched to.

So only bring your credit card to buy drinks (buying products while drunk is a bad idea anyway!)

The purpose of these parties is for people to learn great, profitable Internet Marketing skills at no charge – just like at the  bar of the high-ticket internet marketing seminars.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Here’s what you should bring:

  • Yourself
  • Great Ideas or Great Questions
  • More Great Questions
  • A High Tolerance for Reality
  • A Camera (we are lazy and need good content for the website)
  • Your Funniest & Most Interesting Friends
  • A Designated Driver
  • Pop Rocks candy

Q: What should I expect?

A: To have a nice, relaxing good time with people just like you.  Some of the internet marketers there will have made millions online, others are just getting started, others have or have had jobs in related fields.  We will simply mingle, chat and have organic, casual conversations.

There will only be one somewhat formal part of the evening: We will gather around and one by one, and unwillingly take a shot of cheap whiskey for every mistake you’ve made in your business in the past month*.

(*unless you don’t want to)

Q: When, where & how often do you meet?

A: Once a month.  We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month from the casual hours of between 7 to 9:30pm.  Our consistent location for the past year has been Six Lounge in downtown Austin, TX.  This casual but swanky lounge is located at the southwest corner of 4th and Colorado Streets.

As for specific 2010 dates: Jan 12; Feb. 9; Mar. 9, and so on…

Q: Is there any cost or fees to join or attend?

A: Nope… (not at this point in time, anyway).  All we ask is that you buy some delicious food and/or cocktails and tip your waitstaff nicely.

Q: Who started this group and why?

A: David Gonzalez started AIMEN because we all know that the best information at any Internet Marketing event happens in the Bar. Because he wanted to maintain the integrity of the “Bar” experience, he brought his old, long-time friend Michael Lovitch into the mix to make sure things didn’t get too “serious”.

Anyone who knows “Lovitch” knows he is a master of not letting anyone take themselves too seriously… while having a VERY good time!

The result is as close as you can come to being at the bar with a bunch of crazy smart marketers, without having to listen to a bunch of sales pitches.  In fact, when there are speakers – they are not allowed to sell anything from stage (imagine that).  Even better, they are usually speaking after having had a few alcoholic cocktails, so that translates into the fact that REAL money making information is usually shared.

Giving credit where credit is due, this idea was inspired by the Dallas internet marketing party created by Kevin Wilke of Nitro Marketing.

Kevin is a friend of the party!  And then… when David shared the idea with another more underground internet marketing rockstar, Eric Louviere…
Eric went and posted that a party was going to happen on the popular Warrior Forum and boom! AIMEN (also known as the Austin Internet Marketing Entrepreneur Network) was born!!!

The party was started for local Austinites, but has gained a national following.  It is not unusual for high caliber multi-millionaire internet marketers to fly across the country just for the low pressure, fun & high-value experience.

Q: Who can I contact with questions, comments, concerns, etc.?

A: David Gonzalez (the founder / coordinator of these events), can be reached via email: mrdavegonzalez [at] gmail . com (just paste that all together and type it out).

Great post, very informative. I have always found spamming blogs to be quite challenging and yet i do it anyway… in an effort to discover a reliable and efficient SEO company who is able to provide each of the steps recommended to rank yourself on the main search engines like google online.
